Hey friends! So many of you asked for this, and I got you covered. Today, I’m reviewing the Sony Bravia 3, which is the next in line after last year’s X80L model. Don’t skip this video, because I’ll compare this TV with the X80L and X82L so you can see how the new model stacks up.

Sizes and Models Available:

  • 43″, 50″, 55″, 65″, 75″, and 85″ inch sizes
  • Available on Amazon in two models: XR100 and XR200. If you want better motion control, go for the XR200.

I’ve linked both models in the description below, so check it out!

Unboxing:
Alright, I’m unboxing the 55-inch Sony Bravia 3 4K AI Smart LED Google TV, model number K-55S30. Here’s what you get inside:

  • Warranty card
  • AC power cord
  • Eco remote
  • Quick setup guide
  • Two AAA batteries

But hey, heads-up! Sony no longer includes a tabletop stand or wall mount in the box. When you get it installed, you’ll choose one, and they’ll provide it for free. I picked the tabletop stand, and it was super easy to set up—just click the pieces into the bottom of the TV.

Build Quality & Design:

  • All plastic but premium quality.
  • The design looks classy, with a narrow black bezel on three sides and a slim bottom bezel that has the Sony logo in the middle.
  • The microphone for hands-free voice commands is just below that.
  • Speakers face downward, and the back has a cool grid pattern.

Remote:
The flush surface remote is easy to clean thanks to a polyurethane coating. It has IR and Bluetooth functionalities, plus hotkeys for six apps and a Google Assistant button.

Connectivity:
You get:

  • 4 HDMI ports (HDMI 2.1, HDCP 2.3)
  • 2 USB ports
  • Ethernet port
  • Digital audio out
  • Composite video-in
  • HDMI 3 supports eARC, ALLM, and ARC.

It’s also got dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth v5.3.

Tech Specs:

  • 4K Processor X1
  • 50Hz refresh rate (boosted to 200Hz with MotionFlow XR200)
  • 4000:1 contrast ratio
  • Triluminos Pro for over a billion colors!
  • 4K X-Reality Pro for upscaling low-res videos.
  • Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG support.

Picture & Sound Quality:

  • Brightness measured at 443 nits at 100%.
  • IPS panel, good for bright rooms.
  • Color reproduction is super vivid and accurate.
  • The contrast is not super deep, but it’s above average.
  • MotionFlow XR200 handles motion well, with no major motion blur issues.
  • Dolby Vision and HDR performance has improved a lot this year.
  • Audio is loud and clear, with Dolby Atmos support, but no DTS.

Smart Features:

  • Runs on Android 12.0 with Google TV UI.
  • Supports Google Chromecast, Apple AirPlay, and Apple Home.
  • You can sideload apps and use the Google PlayStore.
  • There’s a kids’ profile option too.

Gaming:

  • 60Hz, so not ideal for hardcore gaming, but it supports ALLM and has low input lag.
  • Great for 4K HDR gaming at 60Hz but if you’re a serious gamer, you might want to consider a 120Hz TV.

Should You Buy It?

  • Great for bright rooms.
  • Perfect if you love Dolby Vision content and mixed use (sports, movies, TV shows).
  • Not ideal for dark rooms, though.
  • If you’re into gaming, you’ll love the low input lag, but for hardcore gaming, a 120Hz TV would be better.

Warranty:
You get a 1-year warranty. Wish it was 2 years, but with Sony’s service network, it’s still reliable.

So, that’s it, friends! Hope I covered everything you need to know. Like and share if you enjoyed this, and I’ll catch you in the next video!
